Principal's Message ( Fr. Justin Joseph, Principal )

The ways to be successful in life. “The man who removed the mountain began by carrying away small stones”(Chinese proverb).

There are multifarious ways to become successful in life. I am not dealing with all the possible ways leading to success in life. Instead, my main concentration would be on the need of abiding by rules and regulations to grow to maturity and the right use o f time to be successful in life. To succeed in life we need to be disciplined people ready to face challenges in life with composure and maturity.

If we learned to live our lives abiding by rules and regulations from our childhood onwards, our life will be a great success in the future. The Father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi, the friend of the poor and abandoned St. Mother Theresa, Former President of our Country Late Dr.Abdul Kalam and many more like them have given us inspiring examples for this.

Since you are students, you have a lot to study every day and it is your duty to study well. To do it well first you have to make a time table for your daily life by giving importance to all the activities of your life such as study, play, reading, TV programme, prayer etc. Each activity should be given its due importance according to its role in our life. When you make your own principles, rules and regulations for your life, you should see that it is not hurting the feeling of others.

You should understand that our daily plan does not go against the interests of others. For example, we should not watch TV when our brothers or sisters are engaged in serious study.Similarly,we cannot ask others not to watch TV at all because we are studying. We have to accommodate the interests and needs of others also in our daily plan.

It is very important that we understand the value of time. Time is precious for each one of us and it has got great value in everybody’s life. We cannot stop the flow of time unlike water by means of dams.We should not forget the popular proverb: ‘Time or Tide waits for None’. We should make use of our time in the best possible way and if we fail to do things in time, it will adversely affect our future as well as our personality growth.

So dear students, let us be law-abiding students and walking in the path to success keeping far away from the path that leads to failure, frustration, and eventual self-destruction.
